State Performance Profiles

State Performance Profiles

Every parent wants their child to get the best possible start. Louisiana’s Performance Profiles help take the guesswork out of finding high quality early learning programs. They include ratings based on observations of teacher-child interactions, so you can see whether a school or center is providing nurturing experiences that foster a child’s development. Profiles also include important information about teacher qualifications, curriculum, assessments, teacher-child ratios and other important information. You can even learn about centers’ licensing compliance history. To review school and center performance ratings, go to the Louisiana Department of Education’s Louisiana School Finder website.

What is included on a Performance Profile?

Performance Profiles include data that is reported by the providers, such as teachers’ level of education and certification, classroom ratios, and more. It also includes data from the CLASS®– Classroom Assessment Scoring System – which is a tool that is used to measure the quality of educator/child interactions. Every classroom that is a part of NOEEN gets at least two CLASS® observations every year.
