Resources for Families

NOEEN’s Vision for Families
NOEEN wants to ensure that families have decision-making power in the New Orleans’ early education system and have the information they need to choose the right early learning program for their child and family.
Did you know that there are over 5,000 free early care and education seats in centers and schools for children from 6 weeks to age four? Learn more about the different kind of early learning programs and public funding sources.
Early Learning Enrollment
NOEEN believes that every family should be able to easily access a high-quality early learning seat for their child from birth to Pre-Kindergarten with an easy enrollment process.
In collaboration with NOLA Public Schools, the network oversees a unified application process so families have a one-stop shop for applying for free child care and Pre-K.

State Performance Profiles
We know that you want the very best for your child. The Louisiana Department of Education’s performance profiles for early care and education take the guesswork out of understanding center and school quality.
Each center and school’s performance profile includes a rating based on the quality of teacher-child interactions. They also include important information about teacher credentials and teacher-child ratios. The profiles also include information about centers’ licensing compliance history.
Other Resources
Agenda for Children has identified a wealth of resources that can support children and families which is maintained in a searchable Resource Directory. The directory includes parish and state level information as well as other local and national partner information.
