Performance Profiles

Performance Profiles
Performance profiles are part of Louisiana’s unified statewide early childhood Quality Rating and Improvement System. Each year, every Type III center, Academically Approved Family Child Care provider and school that offers publicly-funded Pre-K receives an updated Performance Profile for the previous academic year, provided they were open and operating by October 1. Performance profiles include each site’s rating based on relevant CLASS® scores and information on teacher qualifications, curriculum used in classrooms, classroom teacher/child ratios, use of child assessments, and more. Performance profiles can be viewed on LouisianaSchools.com and are typically updated in November or December each year.

How is the data on Performance Profiles confirmed?
Providers are required to report the majority of metrics when submitting CLASS® room configurations for local observations in August. They are then given an opportunity in early October to provide updates and corrections. After the correction window has passed, October 1 data is considered locked in for the academic year. The following July, providers will receive a draft of their performance profile with only self-reported metrics and are able to make final corrections only if they can provide verification with documentation.
Centers and schools can predict their ratings at any time using the LDOE’s Performance Profile Calculator.
