City Seats

The City Seats program provides free, high-quality early childhood education to qualifying families in Orleans Parish with children ages 6 weeks through 3 years old.

Since 2018, Agenda for Children and the City of New Orleans have partnered to run the City Seats program. We partner with more than 40 child care centers to make sure your child gets a strong start in a safe, nurturing environment.

City Seats is more than just child care. We’re here to support your whole family. Whether your child needs early intervention services or your family could use help with housing, health care, or other resources, the City Seats team is here to help.

The City Seats program is made possible through the New Orleans Early Childhood Education Property Tax Millage, which was passed by New Orleans voters in 2022. This historic millage invests over $21 million annually making New Orleans a national leader in early childhood education with one of the only voter-approved, municipal investments for early care and education specific for children under the age of four.
